Newborn snuggles in mom’s arms after long months of waiting, long hours of laboring. Laboring.

Damp butterfly spreads wings to fresh air and warm sun after long days of cocooning, long minutes of struggling to break out. Struggling.

Seed leaves uncurl to summer sunshine after long days of being buried in dirt. Dirt.

Pink sunrise spills upward after long hours of lonely darkness. Darkness.

Brilliant petals burst and bloom after long days of pushing, swelling, growing. Growing.

Bride and groom clasp hands at the altar after long years of struggling, praying, waiting. Waiting.

Peace stills her sad heart after long months of hoping and crying. Crying. Again. And again. And again.

Weeping may endure for a night, but joy cometh in the morning.
